eddie english, passed away on 11th december 2006 at 8.40 in the morning, he was 65 years old. he had a few jobs in his younger years he was in the merchant navy he was a beach patrolman, he lived in north shields, he was the only son of the late albert and charlotte, he had 1 sister lynne,he was very happily married to monica for 45 years he had 5 daughters, lynne, deborah, anne, june, michelle.he had been bad for years with his heart having his first heartattack in his early 30s, which he had heart bypass surgery about 19 years ago, but in the last couple of years before he died he had problems with ulcers on his leg where it got to the stage he couldnt walk and the nurses were coming every day to change his dressings on his leg. then it started to get better and the nurses told him he would be in his shoes and walking for christmas which he was over the moon about, but then his other leg started hurting him and when the nurse got the doctor to look it was really bad it was black and smelled terrible so they told him he had to be in hospital but he didnt want to go but we told him he had to so he went he was in hospital for a few days where he just deteriated very fast, the doctor told us they had to remove his leg or he would die that was on the saturday morning, they took him to theatre saturday afternoon removed his leg but they said the poison had spread up his body and he was very poorly, then on the sunday after waiting all day to see him they let a few of us in to see him in the evening and he told my mam that he was going that night and my mam told him he was going to be alright but he said im not im going and that night at 3 in the morning we got a call from the hospital to go straight away beacause he was dying so we all went up and held his hand till he went at 8. 40 on monday morning.

hi dad, we were at the cemetry today, our michelle got a new planter made for you it looks really good, calvin bought a card for you and i put it there for you, watch over him dad cos he,s doin really well at the moment, he,s talking bout going in the army and you always said thats what he should do, watch over christopher too for our michelle cos i think she,s a bit worried bout him. love you loads and miss you so much. xxx
